ÓRGIVA

The town where we are, which you can reach by car in 5 minutes or taking a walk in 20 minutes. Here you can visit places such as The Church of Nuestra Señora de la Expectación, the High District or the Alpujarra Square.

Also, walking through the town, you will find viewpoints with spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada peaks. Órgiva is the capital and the largest town in the Alpujarra and, therefore, it is a place with a good atmosphere and a wide gastronomic offer. From here also leaves one of the most popular hiking trails in the area, the “Route of the old-olive trees”.

From the hotel we also offer the possibility of hiring a very interesting activity, such as horseback riding to enjoy a walk through the natural environment where we are.

LANJARÓN, A 20 MINUTES

The door of the Alpujarras and the second large population of the Alpujarra of Granada is known for the mineral-medicinal properties of its waters and for being one of the most charming villages of The Alpujarra of Granada

Lanjarón means in Arabic “place of springs” and water is the main protagonist of this town. Highlights its sources and, above all, the Balneario de Lanjarón, the busiest in all of Andalusia.

Among its tourist attractions stands out the castle and its traditional architecture, with the Hondillo neighborhood as the maximum exponent, where you can buy a multitude of handicrafts.

PAMPANEIRA, A 28 MINUTES

We go to the first of the villages of the Poqueira Ravine, one of the most charming villages in the whole Alpujarra.

A place to enjoy and stroll through its cobbled streets, between which runs the water through its streams and traditional laundries. The Plaza de la Libertad, the nerve center of the town, is home to a multitude of small shops selling handicrafts, including jarapas, restaurants and even a tearoom.

From all this area you can make several hiking trails, among which the Route of the Poqueira Villages, which runs through Pampaneira, Bubión and Capileira.

BUBIÓN, A 5 MINS FROM PAMPANEIRA

Located between Capileira and Pampaneira, it shares with these two populations the title of historical-artistic ensemble and also that of belonging to the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain.

Steep streets, terraced houses and the “Touristic Vila of Bubión”, a complex built by the Andalucía Goverment and from where several hiking trails and horseback riding leave.

Touring the town you will see the typical “tinaos”, portals full of flowers that give life and joy to the villages of the Alpujarra and viewpoints where, on clear days, you can see at the same time the peaks of the Sierra Nevada and the meditarranean sea, an image that will amaze you.

CAPILEIRA, A 4 MINS FROM BUBIÓN

The highest town of the 3 in the Poqueira Ravine, at 1436 meters. Capileira stands out for the beauty of its streets, its white houses full of flowers, the spectacular views of the ravine and the highest peaks of Sierra Nevada, Veleta and Mulhacén.

Impossible not to be seduced by one of the most beautiful villages in Spain and with more charm of the Alpujarra where places like the Church of Santa María la Mayor or the Museum of Pedro Antonio de Alarcón stand out.

From here, start and pass hiking trails such as the Bobadilla, the Poqueira villages in the opposite direction and even those that reach the Mulhacén peak, the highest of the Iberian Peninsula.

PITRES, A 15 MINS FROM CAPILEIRA

A short distance from the 3 villages that make up the Poqueira Ravine is Pitres, a place where Moorish air is breathed, with the church tower, built on the old mosque, as the maximum exponent.

The passageways and balconies along its steep streets, are full of pots that give color to this charming town of the Alpujarra of Granada.

TREVÉLEZ, A 22 MINS FROM PITRES

Located at 1476 meters, it is the highest point of the Alpujarra and is among the highest-altitude towns in Spain.

An ideal place for lovers of hiking, since from here start various trails that through which you can reach the highest peaks of the Sierra Nevada.

The town is divided into 3 neighborhoods, with a level of 200 meters between them. And we can not forget the main reason why this town is known, the hams of Trevélez, which you can buy and taste in the different shops and restaurants of the town, and also visit their dryers.

SOPORTUJAR, A 20  MINS FROM THE  HOTEL

Soportújar is known as the town of the witches. In fact, a route around them that begins in the Cave of the Eye of the Witch has been created.

Throughout this route you can find sculptures around these magical characters who forged their legend in the town after the Christian repopulation after the definitive expulsion of the Moorish, mostly with families from Galicia, where the “meigas” (witches) were already well known..

From the viewpoint, located in the upper part of the town, you can sit down to contemplate the majesty of the mountains.
